A Blue Spotted Lagoon Ray (Taeniura lymna) hovers in the shallows in Deception Bay. The rays move into shallow water to feed as the tide rises, moving to the safety of the reef as it falls. The IUCN has listed the rays as "near threatened" due to the destruction of their habitat.
