Eighty Mile Beach (35 images)
Eighty Mile Beach, to the south of Broome, is a vast expanse of pristine white sandy beach, 220km in length and half way between Broome and Port Hedland. The beach marks the point where the Great Sandy Desert meets the Indian Ocean, and is an important habitat for migratory shore birds, recognised under the internation RAMSAR convention.
