Camden Sound, on the mid north Kimberley coast, is bounded by Montgomery Reef to the south, Champagny, Heywood and Byam Martin Islands to the west, and Augustus Island to the north. Camden Sound is one of the main calving grounds for the Breeding Group D, or Group 4 population of Humpback whale.
